Your gift to Unique has meant that we have been able to send our magazine to a new family who has recently been given the news that their child has a rare chromosome disorder. The magazine includes letters from families all over the world and will help the family feel less isolated as they come to terms with their child’s condition. |
| £10 (GBP) |
Your gift to Unique’s means that a family has been able to receive a booklet detailing the lifetime effects of a rare chromosome disorder for their child. Such in-depth, family-friendly information is only available from Unique. Donations like this have helped fund our Information Project and we have produced over 60 specific booklets so far. |
| £20 (GBP) |
Your gift to Unique’s means that our 24 hour helpline has been able to answer five new calls from parents whose child has recently been diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder. Our helpline is answered by a parent who has experience of a child with a rare chromosome disorder and is able to offer helpful information about a specific disorder in a reassuring way. |

Your gift to Unique has meant that we have been able to give a talk to a group of midwives or paediatricians about the lifetime effects of those children with a rare chromosome disorder. Through our links with other professional bodies, Unique is also able to contribute to medical research into the effects and health issues or rare chromosome disorders. |

Unique soap
We are very proud to announce that Unique now has its very own "unique" soap, created by one of our members - Heather Platts, from Melton Mowbray. Heather runs her own business called Eie Flud which makes Handmade Toiletries and she has kindly taken one of her own soap recipes to sell in her soaps and online, with profits going to unique.
The soap is a traditional castile soap, made from Oak leaves with Lemon Balm. It is unperfumed and is very gentle on the skin. A 120g bar costs just £5, with profits going to Unique.
