Making a Donation

Unique is a registered charity and is almost entirely funded by voluntary donations, we accept donations by personal cheque, international money orders and by any of the major credit cards. If you would like to make a donation to Unique, there are a number of options:

If you are a UK tax payer then completing a Gift Aid form means that for every pound you give, Unique gets an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation to go further. For higher rate taxpayers who pay tax at 40%, you can claim tax relief for yourself at 18% (40% less 22%) of the gross donation by including the donation in your annual tax return.

If you would like to support us over a longer period of time, why not fill out a banker's order form. Just download the form, print it out, complete and sign it and send it back to us at the address below - we will do the rest.

Donation Database

Please note that under the Data Protection Act, we are legally obliged to inform you that the details of your donation (amount and purpose) are held on a separate, secure Unique database and used only for the following reasons: 1) to retain accurate records for the purpose of claiming Gift Aid from the Inland Revenue 2) to inform you on a regular basis (usually annually) of the financial performance of the charity. Your details are not passed on to any third parties. You may access this information at any time by writing to us.
